Supported Group living:

Corvilla has four group homes located in the community. Our homes have continued to meet and exceed the state standards of quality of residence, quality of staff and quality of life.

*A group home is an Indiana State Department of Health licensed facility in which persons with development disabilities may live. There is 24-hour supervision by paid staff that assists each client in developing daily living skills. Group homes are funded by Medicaid. Eligibility determination and placement is made through the Bureau of Developmental Disability Services (BDDS).

For more information, call Corvilla at (574)289-9779 or call the local BDDS South Bend office at (574)232-1412. You can visit the website at http://www.in.gov/fssa/ddrs for a listing of all district offices, addresses, and phone numbers.

Connections: Day Program

Connections is a creative, fun, learning environment with adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. We have daily scheduled activities and monthly community outings. Staff meets in the mornings to prepare for the daily activities before the clients arrive. We then begin our day and create a positive atmosphere where our clients feel safe and free to participate in activities. We encourage client participation and leadership in daily events. Staff interact with clients and offer daily engagement opportunities. Connections allow clients to choose what activities they want to participate in; resulting in a productive day.

Some Connections activities offered:

  • Health & Fitness
  • Recreational (Bingo, shake and canvas, Wii & more!)
  • Vocational (Art, technology, horticulture, essentials crafts, etc.)
  • Nature
  • Music
  • Volunteer opportunities in our community

We look forward to serving you and your vocational needs! Please contact me with more questions.
