Way To Go Sharon!

In February of 2020, Corvilla's Sharon Toth applied for a grant through WNDU and Martin's Supermarket called "One School at a Time". In March the school was notified that the application for funding a coffee cart to teach job skills to Jimtown Life Skills class was approved! After months of delays due to COVID-19, we are pleased to celebrate the arrival of Jimmie Java! It has been a long but promising process and we are excited to have it up and running.

Thank you WNDU and Martin's Supermarket for giving our students, like Ravena and Brittin, the support they need! The new coffee cart will provide an opportunity to teach students how to maintain a small business model while making and serving coffee, tea, and hot cocoa to teachers and staff. The orders are taken every day through a Google order form and then delivered. Everyone is happy to receive their hot cup of Jimmie Java.

"Any student that has any type of special need or disabilitiy we work with so that when they get out of high school they know the path they want to take." - Sharon Toth, Corvilla's Employment Specialist BIN Liaison

Raven and Brittin are so excited to serve up a hot coffee or tea from their new Jimmie Java coffee cart. They are learning several skills that will help them in their future. Way to go girls!
