Connections Day Program

Connections Day Program opened in 2016 when Corvilla moved into our new building at 3620 Deahl Court in South Bend. With a large meeting room and smaller rooms off to each side, the new space provided the opportunity for clients and staff to be a part of a great skill building environment. Connections is a creative, fun, learning environment with adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities, Our program offers people the option to choose their daily activities. This empowerment encourages participation and leadership.

WHAT WE OFFER

RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES like bingo, board games, Wii games, music, health, and fitness are all recreational activities that we are able to provide for our clients. This helps build community, friendships, teamwork, and fun!

VOCATIONAL SKILLS give our clients a choice to select from art, woodworking, textile and sewing, gardening, cooking, and technology. With so many options there is something for everyone to participate in. In the spring and summer seasons, our garden is a favorite option because individuals get to venture outdoors to our beautiful enclosed garden with raised garden beds, planters, and tall sunflowers. Our expanded wood shop offers skills that are new to Connections. Individuals can work together to make rustic, industrial furniture and wooden home decor signs. People are finding that they really enjoy the process of making new items for our art store. They are proud of their latest creations.

COMMUNITY OPPORTUNITIES are provided so that we can connect with the community around us. From bowling to library visits, clients can choose to leave day program and venture out into the community. Some of these activities involve shopping or drawing at the local conservatory to draw.

HOURS OF OPERATION are Monday through Friday 8:30 am - 3:00 pm
