Discovery/Development

Elkhart County, Indiana

Do you enjoy helping people find their path in life? Are you interested in helping people with disabilities find meaningful employment? If so, you may be a good fit for this position.

Traveling throughout St. Joseph and Elkhart counties, this position requires excellent communication skills with the ability to speak to local businesses about their hiring needs and the benefits of hiring an individual with a disability. You will need to develop strong relationships with companies and with the individuals we serve. You will also need to have the skill to manage time wisely and meet job placement expectations. We know that getting a job is the most significant indicator of improved quality of life for an individual with a disability. You will be changing lives! We offer excellent benefits, flexible schedule and much more.

If a desk job with rigid hours in human services is not for you, then this may be the job you've been looking for!

Corvilla is dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities obtain and maintain meaningful jobs in their community. We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference in a rewarding career as an EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST with a focus on helping individuals discover what is the best job match for them and following through with helping them land this job.

We accomplish this by arranging job shadows, real work opportunities, learning about the individual’s strengths and barriers and putting all the puzzle pieces together to help them make the best choice for a job goal. We then reach out to local businesses to advocate for hiring individuals with disabilities and prepare the individual for the interview and hire-in process. We are currently looking for a team member to provide services in the Elkhart, Nappanee and Goshen area.

We hire passionate, patient, out-of-the-box thinkers to work in our employment department. Previous experience with individuals with disabilities is not required. We are more interested in attitude, strong character and the length of time you have been on your jobs, than the actual jobs you have held.
